
Majestic Oaks Golf Club History
1965
Ray Larowe purchased the family farm of John Vilina and built a golf course on the land
The original name of the golf course was Golden Tee Country Club and was originally only a 9-hole private course, north and east of the clubhouse

1971
Golden Tee Country Club becomes a full 18-hole golf course

1972
Golden Tee Country Club is renamed to Majestic Oaks Country Club
|
1975
The Executive Course is renovated
|
1976
Majestic Oaks is rated in the Top 50 public golf courses in United States

Early 1980's
The Joe Duffy Celebrity Golf Tournaments are held at Majestic Oaks
|
1983-1987
The Minnesota Vikings Celebrity Golf Tournaments are held at Majestic Oaks
|
1985
The University of Minnesota's Lady Gopher Golf & Tennis invitational are held at Majestic Oaks
|
1990
Lary Carlson purchases more land to build another 18-hole course
|
1991
The Gold Course (now the Crossroad Course) & the Executive Course are now open & ready for play
|
1997
A big storm took down over 1,000 trees on the property
|
1999
The first year of the annual Par 3 Tournament is held on the Executive Course
|
2004
The bunkers are leveled on the Platinum Course (now the Signature Course) in October
|
2005
The Pro Shop is renovated, the first year of Wednesday night league & the first year of the Chili Open Tournament is held

2008
The 18-hole courses are renamed - the Platinum Course became the Signature Course & the Gold Course became the Crossroads Course
Another big storm also took down another significant amount of trees on the property

2011
The first year of the Crown Royal Tournament is held & Snow Golf is introduced on the Executive Course

2012
Boot Hockey is introduced and begins being held in the cart barn over the winter
|
2013-2014
The driving range is renovated, foot golf is introduced on the Executive Course & the first year of Tuesday night league is held
|
2015
The first year of both Tuesday & Wednesday night league begins
|
2018
The clubhouse is renovated
|
2022
The 50th Anniversary of Majestic Oaks Golf Club is celebrated & over 100 trees are removed, mostly due to Emerald Ash Borer
