Major Event Policy


Event Registration:

  • Players may register for the major events in the following ways:

  • The preferred method is online at: www.momensclub.com

  • Online Registration closes at 6:00 PM on the Thursday prior to the event, unless otherwise stated on the event form

  • Hardcopies of the registration form along with cash or check payment may be placed in the men’s club box in the Pro Shop

  • Make all checks payable to Majestic Oaks Men’s Club

  • Hardcopy Registration closes at 6:00 PM on the Thursday prior to the event, unless otherwise stated on the event form

  • Registration payments on day of the event will incur a $5 late fee – must be paid prior to participating in the event

  • Guests are invited to play in 2 member-guest events (where noted) as long as they have a current USGA handicap card to present to the Pro Shop prior to playing - failure to do so may result in the player playing as a scratch handicap, or in a designated flight/division

 

Event Check-in:

  • Please check-in at least 30 minutes prior to tee time or an alternate will be allowed to play in your place, and entry fee may be forfeited

  • The registration table will close 30 minutes prior to shotgun events

  • Local Rules sheets will be provided at the registration table for each event

  • Skins and/or other games will be managed at the registration table, and are not included in your entry fee

  • Payment must be provided prior to playing in the event – no exceptions

  • No refunds will be made for no shows

 

Teeing Grounds:

  • Players must tee off from their year-long specified tee unless otherwise noted for the event

  • Players will tee off from a specified Tournament tee in events where the player is not playing their own ball through the hole

 

During the Round:

  • USGA Rules of golf will govern all events, except where modified by the event

  • Motorized carts are allowed and available through the Majestic Oaks Pro Shop, carts are not included with your entry fees unless otherwise noted

  • The most recent player’s handicap index revision shall be used unless the event falls on the revision date, then the previous revision may be used

  • Player’s course handicaps will be determined based on selected tee box and event format

  • All players shall comply with the MOMC Code of Conduct Policy on and off the course

  • All players are expected to comply with the local rules, including the pace of play policy

  • If any rule or policy infraction is seen during an event, contact either the Master of Events or Tournament Directors for ruling. (Rules infractions could be grounds for disqualification)

 

Post Round & Scoring:

  • It is each player’s responsibility to ensure his official scorecard is completed and accurate, failure to do so may result in disqualification

  • All scorecards must signed and attested

  • Scorecards are required to be turned in at the scoring area within 15 minutes of completing the round or the player’s score may be posted as “no card” for the event

  • Players should not post any scores resulting from MOMC events to their GHIN account. All scores will be posted by the MOMC men’s club or the Majestic Oaks Pro Shop staff
